My bag is packed
I am one week pre-op. Was talking to my mom yesterday, bored out of my mind and hungry.... all head hunger, so I did not eat... I told her of the list that Kathy posted the link to for everything you should pack for surgery. She suggested that I pack now, since next Saturday we will be in Reading, PA and Sunday I need to go get nails done and polish removed. I also need to do the last grocery store run pre-surgery for stuff like 2% cheese and ricotta cheese. It makes it feel so real. Is this crazy or what?? Being on opti-fast for 2 weeks didn't make it feel real.... but packing my bag made it feel so darn real to me.
I know some surgeries are coming up this week, so I'd like to take a moment and wish everyone a safe and speedy recovery. Will keep my new friends in my thoughts and prayers.
Carrie

It's normal to be nervous.
You are going to do wonderfully. I would do it again every year knowing what I do now. It's that worth it.

That's EXACTLY how I felt. When hubby & I were packing our bags, I was like "holy cow this is really happening!"
My surgeon is 3 hours from my home, so on the drive down after work the night before I had that feeling, and ESPECIALLY when we checked in to our hotel.
This next week is going to FLY by, and you'll be post op before you know it! :)
Good morning. I sent this directly to you as a personal message..... but here's the link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/articles/weight-loss-surgery-hosp tial-stay-what-to-pack
