NSVs and Other irons in the fire...
Good Morning, Obesity Help!:
It has been a busy (as well as cold and short) February. March came in like a lion, as well. I ran the Washington Heights 5K yesterday. Wow, I never thought there were so many hills in Manhattan. I came home and checked my time. I ran an 11:02 pace per mile, a personal best. Later in the day, I received a tweet that the scoring and timing were updated. My new pace is now 11:05 per hour. Still a personal best!
The surgeon rescheduled my appointment from this Wednesday to next Friday. No problem. I can deal with that. My current weight is 198 pounds, down 32 pounds from my last appointment. Being that I am at the 18 month post-surgery mile marker, that is great. I have gained 2.7 pounds since December of 2014, but that's natural for a weight bump. Especially since I have been losing weight from the date of surgery. (and my surgeon wanted to see me gain some weight ).
In February, I recieved an email from Cathy Wilson from OH, wanting to know about my weight-loss surgery journey. I gave her a lot of data about myself, and my journey. I have updated my picture to reflect my current weight. and I hope to see it in a future blog post from her.
I also wanted to remind you that I have been on SUNY Downstate's Cable Access show, Health Center. They can be seen here. The episodes are names "Examining Obesity" and "Weight Loss Surgery, Part 1 and Part 2". the link will take you to the main Health Center iTunes page. Just scroll down until you find those programs.
That is all!
Thank you,
Don
You're doing great, Don! A true inspiration. Keep up the great work. xoxo
