Feedback from patients of Dr. Schauer at the Cleveland Clinic BMI?
I have not heard of him.
However, a SECOND question you should have is how good is his support/allied health staff (i.e. his surgical PA, nutritionist, and psychologist)?
Dude will operate on you once, and you will likely never see him again.
However, I talk to/write my surgeons Nutritionist and or surgical PA at least monthly and often more in the beginning. I stand especially close to the nutrionist. I write her asking whether a particular recipe is good/healthy. I ask her how to make it better and will a substitution work. For example, can I really substitute avocado for mayo? Is it REALLY better given the calories in an avacado?
My body fat is about 14%. My guy personal trainer was/is worried about me losing my period. Questions asked are "Am I eating enough? Will I get too low in body weight and lose my period?" Answers: Not likely. At some point our RNY bodies just stop losing.
i ask them lots of questions about exercise especially running when I first got started.you need a responsive support team!
