Anyone else had this?
came in for my surgery on Tuesday the 10th, was doing great up walking, walked on wed started drinking liquids, boom 8pm I had a fever or 100.5 and my pulse rate was 125. Ok so they stopped fluids etc...because something was wrong by 10 pm Thursday I was back in surgery they thought I might have a leak, it turns out I don't, they are baffled as to my come and go temp and high heart rate, I have to be fever free 24 hours before I go home, and they added two drains in the exploratory stage.
Starting Weight - 350 Goal Number One 299
Surgery Weight- 335 Goal Number Two 249
Current Weight- 325 Goal Number Three 199
Goal Weight - 150 Goal Number Four 150

I am so sorry this happened to you I can't imagine still having to be in the hospital this long. I came home day after and although I felt and still feel like crap it's getting better and I am home. Soon this will all be behind us and we will just be watching all this weight drop like fly's!! Wooohooo

I can feel for you. I actually did have a leak and ended up in ICU for 3 days. I am a nurse, so it was really hard on me. My complications didn't end there. Sometimes you aren't breathing deep enough or drinking enough fluids. It will get better and having the drains removed is no big deal I had them too. Good luck I promise it is worth it.
