Measure by volume or weight

i start the puréed stage next week.  Should I measure my 2-3 oz by volume (1/4-3/8 cup) or by weight?

Liquid by volume, solids by weight.

 Height: 5'7".  HW: 299, Program starting weight: 290, SW: 238, CW 138 - 12 pounds under goal!

What is the purpose of your measurement? Early out, if you are being careful not to stuff too much food into your new stomach, volume is most important. Use measuring cups.

Before long, calories should be of vital importance. In that case, volume is pretty much useless for calorie totals, and you'll need to weigh all foods very closely using a kitchen scale.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
