Stall!!!

Ok, so I am 3-1/2 months post RNY, and have hit my first stall. It has been an entire week with no weight loss! I have read many posts about this, but when it happens to you, it gets REAL!!? I just wanted some encouragement this morning. I know this will pass, but I'm just a little discouraged. I have less than a pound to lose to get to my halfway point, so I hold my breath every day to see if the scale is going to move. Any suggestions on how to break the stall? I am eating right and working out like crazy!

They happen no matter what, but my weight loss had slowed down so I decreased my calorie intake this past week from 800 cals per day to under 700. I'm seeing movement again. I don't work out, just try to walk everyday.

Good luck!

There is no magic to break a stall. But it is a good opportunity to make sure you are weighing and logging every bite really, really closely. If you are, then you can be confident you are doing everything you can, and the stall will end when it's ready.

Welcome to the stall club.

I agree it can be frustrating, but focus on your clean eating and the proper plan, and how much better you feel now compared to 3.5 months ago, it will pass. Mine has slowed to a creep and stopped for going on 4 weeks now. I am changing things up to get moving again, but I feel great. I either need to chill more, or throw that damn scale out the window.  LOL

This will be one of many sadly, nothing you can do will stop it. Don't weigh yourself every day or even every other day, once a week is enough. (To avoid neurosis :) )

I know, it's awful.  I felt for sure I was going to be the gastric bypass failure and all of the crap I had gone through would be for nothing.  Everything everyone has said has been good, hide the scale for a week, watch your calories, and up your water intake.  That always seemed to break mine.  I don't even stress about them anymore, it's weird.
