8 month update - 111 pounds down
I just "celebrated" my 8 month post surgery. I have to admit I am very happy and surprised. Who would have thought I would be someone who is able to loose 100 pounds and plus. I for myself would always look at magazines and even OH and be amazed what other people could achieve,,,, but doing it myself seemed to be impossible!
I am very happy with where I am right now. After cleansing my body I am now tackling my closet. I am kind of a horder who does not throw away clothes, that do not fit anymore, especially the once which are too small (hey they might fit one day again!). Which really helped in the last month, since I always had something on hand in my size..... but last week I cleaned out all the clothes which are too big right now and everything I do not like 100% went right with it. So I got rid of 4 full boxes of clothes! What a relief!
The last time I was my current size was 13 years ago (age 29)
, when I had a nice office job with the occasional evening invitation and I must have bought a 2 piece suit in a bold color - I never wore it, price tag still on!
Fast forward to yesterday night - we were invited to an event in a nice hotel and I did not find anything to wear. So I went through my old boxes found the suit and really doubted it would fit. Of course it did! Hubby insisted I wear it (I probably would have bought something new in black). I have to admit I felt great! And I really enjoyed the compliments from people I had not seen in a while.
So now there is this new journey ahead of me - the next goal is to loose 25 pounds more - the only challenge: I do not have any smaller clothes left, 4 more pounds to go and the last time I was this size was when I was 19!

Way to go! Great transformation. Gotta love the chance to go shopping and the options are so much better at the smaller size. I've got lots of clothes in smaller sizes so haven't bought anything on my downward journey, but I realized last night that I don't have any underwear that fits. Still wearing the same ones I did nearly 100 lbs. ago. I really do need to go shopping for them
