12 month follow-up visit

Today was my 12-mo follow-up visit with the surgeon and he was very pleased. He said he can tell I've been doing what I'm supposed to because of the results and that unfortunately not everyone does. It's hard for me to believe that someone would go through all the pre-op rituals, undergo major surgery and then still not put in the effort to have success. Believe me I know that the hard part is just beginning - I will deal with my food demons for the rest of my life and know that it will be a battle. It's just hard to understand people messing up so majorly in the first year when surgery is fresh in mind and works the best. Oh well, I digress. Anyhow he said my labs were great (& yes I looked at them myself beforehand and agreed). He even said my Vit. D levels were a little high which was good in his eye, mentioned that I must be eating well and getting some extra sunshine. Both are true. He told me to keep my weight where it is, but I'm still trying to lose 5-10 more lbs. to allow for bounceback. It was a great way to start my day!

Sounds like a positive visit, to me!! Did you get a copy of your labs, for your personal "file"?
