wow - what an awful bunch of events! sorry to hear this. And $15 an hour is super cheap - I'm paying $47 an hour for my Mom's home health people.

This is a caregiver not home health. She helps change and bath her and gets her lunch since she can't do it with a walker. Insurance pays for home health and PT.

You do so much and if you were not doing it, then you would end up paying someone to do it.

When I first got out of beauty school I used to do hair one day a week at a nursing home. Cute little ladies who wanted rollers and White Minx or Sweet Cream rinse. I quit doing that after I got pregnant. Most of the time families were happy to have someone do mom's hair but once in a while they would argue about the cost of the rinse, it was fifty cents or a dollar back in 1970.

I know people who help at home for $15 an hour. They do light cleaning, help with getting dressed, and cook meals. It is a big help and I am glad you found someone. That lack of water is awful and hope it is fixed soon.

I'm excited to do some new service work this evening. I started leading a program for a social services agency last week and hope the attendance starts to increase at tonight's meeting.

QOTD- Nope. Never been to a gala or ball that's black tie. I'm open to the opportunity.

At first, I wondered why Dolly would have the whole Ferris Wheel car to herself. Them I realized her hair needs an entire seat to itself.
