I want to be a marathon runner.  I still will want to my my dream career as a forensic scientist but I think it will be easier to get a job if I am thinner.  I'm looking for a second job now and am having no luck because 1. I am not experienced enough 2. I am a college drop out 3. Employers have to worry about my school schedule and 4. I am obese.

I want to be able to run. I'd love to enjoy it but I don't see a day in my near or distant future that I'll enjoy exercising.

I want to be an awesome mom to my 6 year old autistic son. I want to run and play at the park, chase bubbles and balloons, swing contests (who goes higher!), jump rope, go down the slides, fit in the little kid chairs at church, volunteer in the kindergarten classroom w/o all the kids saying. "you're fat!", play hide and seek and actually be able to hide behind a bush. And that's just naming a few. Be blessed!

 Awesome!

I think my main thing is to embody confidence. I am pretty outgoing now and do some training but I can't wait until I'm super confident holding training sessions and going after bigger jobs in my industry because I'm not worried about being the fat one.

Also, my son starts Kindergarten at the best school in our county in August. I do NOT want to be the fat mom anymore.

I want to be the pretty girl. Not the pretty fat girl.

Can't say that my dream was to ever be skinny. I have always wanted to be healthy at any weight. I love my job since I get to be around high school athletes all day.  Now that I have lost the weight, walking , running and just being outside in the Hot Texas heat is so much more bearable.

I finally feel like the sexy woman my husband has always believed me to be. That is a WIN in my book.

Everyone has such awesome goals! I guess the point of posting this was that I wanted everyone that's new here to know that you CAN change your life. The goal ISN'T to be skinny... the goal is the CHANGE. Not changing your job, or changing your relationships, necessarily... but changing YOU. There are folks here who were accomplished in their profession at 350 pounds. But were they happy?? Probably not. There has always been something holding me back. My weight was the obstacle I had to overcome. Now that I'm in maintenance, there is NOTHING to stand in my way of me living my dreams! If you're someone who hasn't had surgery yet, look at what you can BE!! You can change your life!!

Anyway, thanks to all the folks who posted! Love it that there are dreams and goals that exist AFTER weight loss! Be happy, enjoy life!
Peace!
Jeni
