What support really is and what being supporive isn't
Again a very timely post Ruggie. I don't post much as I feel I still have so much to learn on this journey, but to do read the posts daily and almost all of them. What keeps me coming back to this forum is the honest responses that people with confidence give, it serves to keep me honest in my journey.
I have begun to feel frustrated when people complain when those who take the time to respond honestly to their questions and worries. This is not a place to come for a pat on the head. Here we can be real in our anonymity if that is what we need to be successful. For that I thank everyone for their honest support.

My personal response to some posts on occasion has been "fekkin moron" or "fer gods sake can ya not READ?" I suppose everyone has those reactions. But in terms of actual online responses, one of the most valuable things I learned in Overeaters Anonymous about interaction was to share mainly what works for ME, and the insights, perspectives and experiences I've gained through the process. Hopefully that helps someone else. Or not...
Your final point is me, I don't share enough of my experiences, but that's more online shyness than anything else.
