7 months post op - trying to keep to an 800 calorie diet but its hard!
If you need a bar, try Quest protein bars. They are 21 grams of protein for the same 190 calories that are in the nature valley one, and it's barely any sugar and it's low carb. I don't run from the bars. I love them and they have helped me. But the one you are eating is sooooo NOT worth it.
I totally agree with more dense lean protein options. I've been eating a lot of "Crack Slaw" lately (it's a real recipe, that alot of us on here have been talking about lately-google it! it's great!) which is just lean ground meat of your choice cooked with a big bag of cole slaw and any other veggies you may want to add with some other great spices added. It's totally high protein low carb low calorie per serving and you've got more than enough veggies in it.
