You are going to do fantastically.

I will echo what Carol (cappy) said.  I too started as a "heavyweight"--my top weight was nearly 440 pounds.  At consult, I was nearly 400.  In a little over a year, I've lost 177 pounds and have 50 more to go to get to my goal. 

It will not always be easy, but I can tell you it is definitely worth it!  Best of luck for an uneventful surgery and a smooth recovery.
