Surviving Knoebels Amusement Park
It has been three weeks since my surgery and my in-laws came to visit us. One of their favorite parks is near us and they wanted to go. I took some turkey and yogurt with me and made it through the day. I did have 2- French fries and I bought a baked sweet potato. Was weird because I really never rode rides much and I just ate my way through the park. Was not as hard as I thought it would be. Even our end of the day ice cream run had no effect on me. Loving my new sleeve.
Fantastic! I had a similar experience at my state fair last night. It was great :)

I love Knoebels and went there days after my gastric bypass! My son had a company picnic for his summer job that fell just four days after my surgery. I decided it'd be a nice change of venue for all of the walking. Since I was still on the liquid diet, eating wasn't something I was considering, but it did feel strange not riding or eating my way through. We're lucky, that particular park is so wonderful that even just strolling through is a pleasure. =)
