I also had a very high BMI (62) when I started that pre-op diet and was 58 when I had my surgery with Dr Lopez on Oct 6th 2014 at hospital Vida in TJ. Dr Lopez and his staff are AWSOME and they do what ever they can to make you comfortable as possible. As far as the Pre-op Diet goes the hungry pain will decrease in a few days, I am sorry to say that you will still be hungry but let me tell you that I have not had ONE hungry pain since I got out of surgery!! So hang IN THERE !!!

Basically the first few days just suck.  So the only advice I've got is to keep yourself as distracted as possible and try to ignore the suckage :P
