Hey Tink....yeah I have had the foamies a couple times. They suck, that feeling of nausea that goes along with it sucks too. Probably too fast and or too much. At least with me, in 20-30 minutes I was fine, never had to vomit so I feel for you there. Hope you are feeling better now.

I have had the foamies a few times... I learned that eating a tums clears it up. Might be a coincidence but it has helped me.

At 5 years out I still get these if I don't listen to my stop sign.

I was three months out the first time. It was hideous. I got it from eating a baby carrot. (Well, two actually!). From what I understand, just introducing a new food can cause them. A new sleeve is a delicate little creature!

Hope you're feeling completely fine by now!

Thanks guys. It had me feeling pretty bad still last night. Thank goodness it feels much better this morning.

I am a lapband hoping for a sleeve revision. Are the flames similar to being stuck with the band?

Hi Kathy,

I'm giggling at your post "are the flames similar"...because I'm a lapband to sleeve revision and I could easily say that with the band it felt like flames in my chest/throat at times!  LOL

I've not had any foamies since being sleeved so I'm not sure but I might guess there is some similarity.  The body is trying to do what it needs to push the offending food through.  I had enough of that with the band and am so glad I don't have it now.

Good luck if you get revised.  I feel SO much better with it gone.  I am able to eat things that I threw up all the time...healthy things.  It's refreshing!

Four years out and I rarely get the foamies. Kind of barely notice when I do. It gets better.
