for woman only--- menopause ??

Hi Ladies, I haven't posted in a while......... Next month will be 1 year since I had rny.. I am down 72 lbs and feel great.. I'm 45 years old and a couple of weeks ago I began having hot flashes and night sweats... It's horrible.. I am trying to get an appt with my pcp to see what she prescribes but I am very hesitant about taking estrogen.. I've heard horrible stories about taking it... I have talked to several co workers who have already gone thru this and one is taking AVLIMIL.. She got it from a tv commercial on Lifetime... I was watching a commercial yesterday and they mentioned a website knowmenopause.com which I went into and they stated that many women prefer to take herbal pills rather than estrogen... What about us gastric bypass patients?? anyone out there take anything? Is anything harmful to our pouches??? Any comments I would greatly appreciate.. thank you!! Moni 218/146/
