former clothes sizes are now which plus sizes?

Does anybody remember what the old (females) clothes sizes in the 1980s were like 32, 34, etc. but then later were changed to the "plus" sizes that are 18W etc.? Does anybody have a comparison of what they would be now? Thanks.

I do not think the sizing changed, but I think 18/20 is 1X 22/24 is 2X and so on. Hope it helps.

I think it went down 10: Like a 32 is now a 22.

I could be totally wrong...
