Pain Medication Question
I'm scheduled for a TT on March 7. I have already purchased my RX for Percacet (SP?) which is in tablet form. I've been reading older posts and some people are saying if you've had an RNY that you will not absorb the pain pill that you should get the RX in liquid form. Has anyone experienced this problem with pain medication tablets?
I've posted the same question on the Plastic Surgery Forum but people don't respond very often over.
Thanks for your input.

I didn't have any problem with pain meds when I had my knee replaced. I was a little over a year out so I guess some of the malabsorption was gone but I did fine with them. I did go from benefiber to miralax to stay regular.

Definitely need to take Ducolax and maybe a benefiber to stay regular. Pain meds will bind you up fast!
I took Oxycodone in a liquid form. Well... I'm taking it now since my foot surgery and it works well. I also took it for my plastics. It has worked well for me.
