Competition results with photos

Thanks to everyone who commented on my skating anniversary post. It is a great thing to share this personal victory with those who understand what a life changer WLS can really be. So, my results were, for the drama piece, I took 1st place. This is the one where I am dressed as an angel. My technical piece was a 3rd place finish. Even though there were only 3 competitors, which means I was in last place, just getting out of my comfort zone and working on moves that are difficult for me was a victory.

Wonderful!!!  You are a winner because you went and did it while others sat home!!!  To be a part of life is to win!!!  Hurray for you!!!

Thanks Price. I knew that second program was going to be tough, but your words went through my mind as I took my spot, to compete is to win. The experience is what makes it so great.

So awesome! You look amazing. I used to ice skate (not competitively or anything) and roller skate... Can't wait to give it a try again once I get brave enough!

Well, try it. It is good exercise, and it's lots of fun. Oh, the oldest competitor in the league, she is 89 years young. 

Awesome! Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, she turned into a butterfly.

You are right getting outside your comfort zone is a success. Taking away a 1st place is icing on the cupcake. The sprinkles...enjoying life.
