my pain seems to be a lot more and lasting longer than what many of the folks here have posted. Am I being a baby? I had bypass surgery on the 8th. Any tips for feeling better faster?

what kind of pain? what is the location, and how does it feel? dull, stabbing, movement related, etc.

Apparently it's typical. Sore and moving more pain on my right. Good timing as my surgeon's nurse called to check in today and we got to talk about it. Some of it is the gas they put in there working it's way out.

I was just feeling frustrated earlier.

walk as often as you can - that really helped me.  that and burping/passing gas like an 8 year old boy (at least that is what my sister said - she has one and ought to know). good luck!

Hope you feel better.  I was so lucky that I didn't have any pain.

Are you walking around?  Sometimes that will help with moving the gas around.

Yeah I'm walking around the house and stuff. Trying not to over do it. I stop when I feel too sore or winded.

Thanks!

I was still in the hospital on day 4, so no, I don't think you're being a baby!  You just went through major surgery.  Go easy on yourself and feel better soon :)

Oh really? I wouldn't have minded one more day but I'm also glad to be in my own space.
