Catching Up!

 I know I was suppose to write after my consult, but I have been so busy I didn't make it back on!  The consult was incredibly fast.  I was surprised.  It really came down to what do you want for surgery, review my weight loss thus far.  Then she talked about petitioning insurance.  Originally I was leaning strong toward VSG, but decided when I discussed with surgeon the RNY will be best for me.  

About a week after my appointment I got a letter in the mail stating I needed to have blood work done particularly for insurance.  I figure it was going to take forever to hear back from insurance since I have Mainecare and even the couple weeks that it has been, my mind was just racing with worry.  Today I got a letter in the mail that the insurance will pay for my surgery!  It was a relief and then I also felt a bit overwhelmed.  This is actually going to happen!!!

I am going to call the surgeons office Monday and ask them what I must do from here to get a date.  I am so excited to update my profile to state that I will be having surgery.  I plan on making a few video blogs along the way to see my progress and also to have them when I need to reflect back from where I was to present.
