Still alive...

Well, I am officially 4 days into my pre-op diet, and the good news is, I still haven't starved to death! Last night was a rough one, but I made it through. I am a nurse working overnights in a busy NICU. I came to work not having had caffeine for 3 days and ended up with a migraine :/ 800mg of ibuprofen, a nap over "lunch" break, and a cup of black coffee later, I was able to survive the night. Today has been much better. It's amazing how good the food tastes in my one small meal per day. I will miss it next week when I go to all liquid all the time. 9 days 'til the first day of the rest of my life! Woo Hoo!
