hoping my last ditch effort of weight loss is a "stay off"

May 25, 2014

hi i am a 50 year old woman who has yo yo dieted for decades, my dieting lifestyle began in my late 20s when i got up to 180lbs (i'd give anything to weigh 180 now.) i lost 43 lbs, looked great ,felt great, gained it all back, then began over the next series of Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem(again) Metabolic weight loss, Weight Watcher, Diet Pills (phentermine) YOU NAME IT...I have done it, usually several times. My last  weight loss was in 2005. Using Phentermine diet pills...with Weight Watchers and becoming a gym rat, I lost 53lbs. I once AGAIN looked great, felt great, and any size 10 zipped right up, I could wear some size 8's....I was doing "spin" classes. (stationary bike) classes 5-6 times a week. I felt amazing, My spin instructor approached me with the idea of becoming a personal trainer, since I was at the gym everyday, anyway...So in order to be a trainer, You must FIRST be CPR certified. So on March 21st of 2007, I got my CPR certification. The next day CHANGED my life FOREVER....My husband went for a colonoscopy for some issues he was having and we were told he had colon cancer. This was the beginning of a battle, we never chose, I spent the next 18 months taking care of my husband. I left the gym and never looked back. I have no regrets, because my priorities were in the right place, i did what i NEEDED to do, that was take care of my Husband. Well i will spare the details of endless medications, chemotherapy, tears and pure hell we went through, but in 2008, my husband lost his battle with the cancer, and went to be with The Lord. Well that was almost 6 years ago, and i since made a few attempts to get back into shape, to no or little success. I lost a lot of weight during a CRAZY relationship with a guy, that ended up not working, but gained it back, and more. So here i am now, 250 lbs. and have decided to have weight loss surgery....
