Childhood Obesity - Near and Dear to My Heart

In the August newsletter, we have a survey on childhood obesity. Taking the survey has made me think back to my own childhood.I was never morbidly obese as a child. I was chunky, pudgy = overweight, and my weight was always an issue that was discussed as A TOPIC and teased about in my family (bad thing - don't do it!!). The words "....but you have such a pretty face IF ONLY you lost weight" makes my skin crawl. Even before I had children of my own, I worried about my weight issues passed on to them.
As I do, I know that many of you care deeply about childhood obesity. The Newsletter Team has put together a survey that is in our August newsletter. If you haven't taken the survey yet, please do.
In addition, please share this link on your OH blog and any other social media (Facebook, Twitter, other sites, etc.) that you use. This is such an important topic to all of us. Please let us count your voice and take the survey.
