Please Help Me

I purchased OH tickets to the conference in NY Oct 21-23, 2011 and almost dread going... I signed up at OH because I am scheduled for WLS 12/05/11 and wanted to find support.  I've have heard people rant and rave about OH at my surgeons office.But... Every time I post no one responds. Every time I send a message, no response.  I honestly don't know how to properly navigate the site too well so that I can find individuals in my local area to make friend requests. It seems all the before and afters are quite old.  Where are the current members working on pre-op or recently post-op?  I also clicked on that thing stating I am looking for an angel... and guess what? No response, lol. I feel so alone out here. I hope I'll meet individuals at this conference in NY. Any suggestions or directions????
