Update on Revision

Sep 28, 2011

Well , It has been a minute since I have logged in here. I was scheduled for Revision surgery (Lap to VSG) on June 30th, 2011. I was so disappointed when I woke up from that surgery that I didn't do anything for over a month, (health - related) I was not able to get my revision when my Lap band was removed. So I went through all the pain with no result. I also in a months time gained 13 lbs without the band. I never changed my habits but somehow I guess I did without realizing it.
Well, I got a surprise phone call from my surgeon on Aug 30th. He scheduled me for my next Surgery on Sept. 2nd.

I was shocked and scared and had been waiting for this revision for 9 months. And after being banded for 6 years I was ready but again scared to death. Things seem to work in mysterious ways. And everything fell into place, even with my crazy life. It just worked itself out. UNBELIEVABLE

So I had my Sleeve surgery on the 2nd as planned. OMG I love it. So different from the band. I feel hungry but am satisfied with the restriction. Now this week on real food I eat about 4oz. I have no cravings. It is wonderful. I was feeling really bad the first couple of weeks but everyday I feel stronger and better. I have in 4 weeks lost 34 lbs. WOW. This is with minimal effort. I know I am going to have to work now, However anyone considering Revision or the VSG.......Best thing you could do for yourself. Really.
