GOT A DATE!!!

Well I got a surgery date... I met with my surgeon on Wednesday and left the surgeon's office with a date of 14th.... Then I got a phone call about an hour later letting me know that they were changing it to the 21st because he wanted me on the liquid diet for an extra week before surgery!.  UGH.. but I guess it's for the best, just happy to be getting the surgery finally, going through a roller coaster of emotions!  almost talked myself out of it, and gave myself so many reasons not to go through with it, especially after I found out that my surgeon who was in network for my insurance is not in network right now.  which means I just have to pay more, but I'm sticking with him and sticking with it.  I've been on this liquid diet for days now, and it's actually not that bad.  That's not to say it won't continue to be like this.  I am allowed 3-4 protein shakes a day, and I am doing good to get 3 in but I know the protein is important so I'm trying.  I get stressed out and usually turn to food, but I opted for a walk instead, and while my back hurt like hell, and it was rough, I pushed through but feel better now afterwards!  I am looking forward to making it to the losers bench and seeing what my life has in store for me.
