Ouch! I Feel of the Wagon Yesterday!!

Feb 25, 2011

For the past 2 years post op, I have been very much in control.  No sweets for over 2 years.  I now have a new work place which very busy, but they know how to reward and motivate their employees.  There is often sweets in the breakroom, like doughnuts, cakes and candy.  Real nice comfort foods.

I have been good about not eating any sweets.  But, yesterday there was a collective February birthday party.  The cake was beautiful.  It was chocolate and vanilla.  I could tell it was not a cheap super-sweet cake.  Being new, I had a need to socialize and become part of the new workplace.  So, I took a slice to my work-station, planning to discard it.  But after a few minutes, it was still looking good.  SO, I ATE 1/2 OF THE SLICED CAKE.  I ate it slowly..... and no dumping.   Regardless, I discarded the other half.

I weighed myself this morning, and fortunately no gain!!!

That was all nice, but, I am going to continue to be vigilant and cautious.  I know how I peaked up to 264 pounds.  I cannot go there again.  I think I did well yesterday.  There has to be a point of mixing socializing with weight management.

Back in January, my previous workplace gave me a farewell party with cake and sodas.  I did not eat any of that garbage as they were an insincere group of exclusive haters.  I got some cake but left it on the counter.  No thanks assholes!!!
