The Waiting Game?

It's December! 24 more days until Christmas!Anyway, I've found out more insurance info and whatnot and have successfully changed PCPs. I'll have a visit towards the new year :) I've got 2 more weeks of school, and I'll be home to do everything I'd want to.
I've emailed the surgeon's office of the surgeon I want (Dr. Paul Macik) and his secretary, or whoever is in charge of emails, has said Kaiser patients do a 6-month supervised diet program. Prior to that, there was no clear cut anything anywhere of what potential WLS patients had to do. No one really knew anything. So, I'll have to put everything on my PCP!
I have plans to schedule a full physical and necessary meetings with the NUT and psych. Both of them are self-referral, though. Does my PCP need to tell them I'm coming? Do I just show up and go for 6 months? Ultimately, I'll need an endocrinologist's go ahead (have one picked out as well) anyway. How's all that gonna go? Well, we'll find out . . .
