Day 9 post-op

I drove myself and my son to my parents today....Yipeeee it was so great to get on the farm and enjoy quietness. Also, Mamma made some green beans and squash casserole...this mushes really well and there is no replacement for home-cookin. Today has been wonderful and I even feel so much better already. I have lost 34 pounds, counting pre-surgery up until now. It is amazing how much taller I feel and how easier it is to walk...who would have thunk it??  
The one bad part is that I have not gotten all of my liquids in today and I hope that I don't feel it tomorrow. We went thru McDonalds and I got a MickeyD tea and it was soooo good. (unsweetened) Seems like I have grown tired of my flavor waters.....Ok, the tape rash is better-but still itches and the soreness in the left side is still there-but better. Hoping to get back into the swing of things this week and I pray that each day is better....Maybe I can sleep on my side a little this week and thus sleep longer...leading to a more happy me and a more peaceful household. I bet my boy would love that!! Thank goodness my son is old enough to be such a huge help or else this wold have been so much worse...but, shhhhhhhhh if he hears this he will hold it against me in the form of money....Take care and I hope all is well and keep sipping!!  Mary
