Feels like the pain you have when you laugh way too hard beneath yuor ribs...but I ain't laughing. The muscles are very sore but today is better than yesterday. My main trouble is that the hospital used tape over the steri-strips even though it was well known that I am highly allergic to tape. Today the doc called me in a Medrol-dose pack to help with the tape hives. Each of the 5 incision sites is raised 1/4 and is brownish red in color with raised welps. My lovely and wonderful surgeon team is going to phone the hospital and address the matter. So, besides the constant itching from that the soreness under my ribs is better but I thought I was about to sneeze and almost fainted just thinking about how bad it would hurt if I did. Also, I still will not allow myself to cough...ooooo no no no. When I can finally sit on the commode again I feel as if I have made a turn around in my recovery! Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and even as sore as I am right now, I would do it all again.....Mary
