Food log

Oct 18, 2010

I started keeping a log of the foods i was eating, on the day i saw the surgeon. I've actually kept it up, i'm on day 6!!! prior to this, i'd keep it up for a day or so, and then fall off, and even on those days, i was only doing it while i was at work, and had the little book in front of me on my desk. This time, its been all day, every day, which is a real accomplishment for me. I'd like to input the info into fitday.com or something like that, so i can see how much protein, carbs, fat i'm getting, but that's tedious to do at the end of the day, and it's just not feasible for me to do that as i go.

I also started taking a multiplevitiman, which is a suggestion i read on that sheet from the doc's office. I record that on my food log as well. Medication Compliance is an issue for me as well. I think that it'll help me remember to take my antidepressant more regularly as well.

Today's been a challenging day, in terms of eating, because i'm in meetings most of the day, which i have no control over. I came out of a meeting this morning, famished, and wolfed down a banana. At least it was something healthy. There are some vachon cakes in the next room, calling my name, and i'm hoping that i don't cave in and have one. They were giving away free danishes in the canteen this am, Ste. Margeurite d'youville feast day (for our hosp).I did not go and have one, and that was pretty easy, because i couldn't see them. The vachon thingies i know are just behind that door over there.

I'm transferring my food log into an excel document, because i'd like to show my log to the dietician at my appt on December 1st, but my quick handwriting is difficult to read.
