Bariatric Support Group Meeting

Tomorrow is the monthly support group at the UW.  The 22nd is my two year anniversary for band surgery.  My new year's
resolution is to move more.  In December, we lost the program nutritionist and the program manager.  I am eager to see
how this next support group will go.  We have a fairly large community of pre-op and post-op attendees.

Yesterday, I attended a memorial service for my Uncle. I met numerous cousins who have the polycystic gene for kidney
disease that I have.  One cousin, Maury, has survived two transplants.  He explained that the key to his success is exer-
cise.  He swims, does water aerobics, bikes and lifts weights.  He was an inspiration.

The thought of a kidney transplant is somewhat scary to me, but it is inevitable.
