8 Weeks ... wooohooo!!

Well its been 8 weeks today since surgery!  What a journey it has been.

Surgery was uneventful, recovery was going well.  Was making slow but steady progress on the taste buds changing and getting the protein in.

Only "obstacle" has been kidney stones at the 6 week mark that have caused pain, nausea and totally getting off track with food.  Have even struggled to get water in.  Today I saw the urologist and they took the stent out so the throbbing pain should be on it's way out.  With the pain reduced my nausea should be going away too, so I can get back to eating/drinking better. 

There was one very bright spot today at the Dr's office, the weigh-in, it was 196 (with shoes on)!!  WoooHooo I'm in ONEderland!!

My mother is still not doing well.  Her being this ill has brought up feelings of Anger (that she didnt take care of her physical better), Frustration (that no one has been able to get through to her), and Sadness (that she and I will not have happy times sewing and quilting that I had hoped for).  It has also deepened my resolve to get back to better health so my daughter will never say these things when its my turn to pass.  Being healthy physically and emotionally is the hardest work we will ever do.
