Half Way There

Well, I'm six weeks out of twelve with my classes through Kaiser. Kaiser has been really wonderful. I've finished most of my labs - will have an echocardiogram next week and my gallbladder scan and chest x-ray in two weeks. The radiologist actually called me this Sunday to schedule the x-ray and scan. Talk about great service! The classes have been really good for the most part. I've learned a lot and have lost 10 pounds in six weeks. Not stellar, but I'm happy that I'm finally going down instead of up! I'm hoping to have my surgery mid-late November if everything continues to go as quickly as it has been. There is a new program through Kaiser that I could have my surgery done locally with a new surgeon. I'm a little hesitant, but it would mean having all my follow-up locally and not having to go to San Diego (about 2 hours away) for dr.'s visits.Anyways, I'm starting to get really excited and am looking forward to my new life. I am confident that I will be successful. I love food, but not enough to continue to be in pain and so uncomfortable about EVERYTHING!! I don't really think anyone will ever read this, but I will continue to post as a record for myself. If you are reading - welcome!!:)
