Hurray! I have a surgery date!

Wow - finally getting so close!  It has been nearly a year since my PCP referred me for bariatric surgery.  I met the surgeon on Friday, 1/21/11.  He was concerned that the atrial valve in my heart was dilated, so he referred me for a CT scan.  Kaiser called me on Sunday and said they had me scheduled for 2/19/11 - another month away!  But they found me a cancelation (go Kiaser !!), and were able to take me this morning (Monday, 1/24/11)!  I guess my heart must have been OK, because Dr. Fedorka's nurse called and set me up with a surgery date of February 17, 2011!!  That's only three weeks away!  I really liked Dr. Fedorka, he was confident and strong, and that confidence rubbed off on me - I feel better than ever about having this surgery.  I've already lost 50 lbs., and the doctor said I needed to loose about another 105 lbs.  I feel much better already without the 50 - can't wait until it will be 105 lbs. lower!  Combined that will put me at a total loss of 155 lbs.  I'm completely confident that I can do it!  Well, I'm rambling because I'm super excited!  I will check in again as the big day gets closer!
