Feeling Crappy- Thy name is Low Potassium!

Feb 07, 2011

I was feeling so bad for a week or 2 that I decided I could not go back to work after 6 weeks. I was a week away from my 6 week recheck with the surgeon so I went to my GP and asked for bloodwork. It came back Low Potassium...That would explain things. Potassium is necessary for cell function and having low levels can make you have a heart arrythmia, tired and mentally foggy. They prescribed me a pill and I am feeling a bit better. My surgeon does not check labs for 6 months so thank the lord I asked my GP- trust your body and listen when it says it isnt feeling well!
