9 months out from surgery

Well I'm 9 months out from surgery now and have lost 116 pounds, I had hoped to be under 200 by year end but maybe by my 1 yr anniversary.

My weight loss has slowed considerably, but I also have not increased my exercise as much as I should.  My sister and I have decided to join the local ymca next month so hopefully that will help with getting the last 50 to 80 pounds off.

You can't imagine how much fun it has been to see size after size just fall off me.  I wore a sweater yesterday that I had not been able to wear in four 4 years and it is now way to big!  That feels great!

My sister desparately needs to have the surgery but after all the problems I had she won't even consider it (always her insurance won't cover it at all).  I keep thinking that as I get smaller and smaller and I get back the ability to do the things we used to be able to do she will consider it a little more.

I still struggle with some types of foods and I really really really MISS getting to eat rice.  I have not even attempted rice because a friend of mine and a friend of my cousin who had the surgery tried to eat rice and they were deathly ill for hours and I just don't to risk it.  I have found that several foods bother me now that never bothered me before the surgery and some that mildly bothered me now make me deathly ill.

I have found my "magic" amount so now I rather up-chuck except when I eat something with too much fat, grease, or sugars.

I have finally gotten to the point where I would do it all again.  I still think that no matter how ready you think you are, you are not truly ready for all of the changes to every aspect of your life that will occur after the surgery.

My sister took a couple of pictures of me on December 10th and I will get them loaded to show the difference from my beginning picture and my 9 month picture - it is really amazing the difference.
