First Support Meeting

I went to my first support meeting run by the bariatric dietitian.  It was okay. She is a very upbeat person and ran the meeting well.  I have seen stories of members dominating the conversation.  That did not happen.  I did not know anyone there.  I was hoping someone from my group eatting classes or my pre-Optifast class would be there but they were not.  A bariatric patient who ran a marathon about a year after surgery spoke about different parks in the area.  And a guy from the Metroparks in the area spoke about new parks and upcoming events.  Seems like it may be a fun thing to do with the kids this summer.
