Mini Vacation

It has been almost a month since I posted.  Life goes on I guess. 

Since I took 5 weeks off in June/July we did a scaled down vacation this year.  I really did not want to plan much in advances since I really did not know how well/tired I would feels.  So last Thursday - Saturday hubby,  my 16 yo son and his friend and I traveled east a couple hours to the Pittsburgh area.  Son and friend had tickets to go to the Mayhem Rock Festival.  There were several metal bands there and it went from 2 pm until about 11 pm.  This being my son's first concert there was no way I was letting him travel out of state alone or with another young man driving.  Sometimes at this age boys don't make the smartest decisions.  We got a room at a local Holiday Inn.  Friday the boys went to the concert and DH and I went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. We dropped the boys off in the parking lot at 11:30 and headed over to the zoo.  We got there between 12:30 and 1 pm.  That happened to be the day the zoo closed at 3 pm due to a fund raiser so we were pretty rushed to see what we could.

I had a lot of issues eating out.  I ate too fast,  too much or (probably both).  I had the foamies several times.  I probably embarrassed my son in front of his friend. I ended up buying some light yogurt at Super Walmart near by and eating that for my meals.  I really need to learn to slow down and stop even if I have only a bite or two left.
