I had the psyc visit and It seemed to go ok. I won't know untill the WLS center calls to tell me I suppose. A little surprising was the amount I had to pay. I was expecting $150.00 for the Doc to write the report on me, but instead I paid $320.00. It seems I hadn't met my yearly deduction yet and had to pay more because of that. Well, I knew coming into this that there would be fee's and bills that would come out of pocket. Plus with my insurance, it's 80/20. What ever this cost will be well worth it in the end.
Since I'm leaning towards having the lap-band procedure, I'm sure it's going to take longer to lose the weight. When you look at all the before and afters picture's on here, It seems like the gastric by pass is mostly used.
I had my appt. with my family doctor today. Gave him the referal paper to sign and tried to tell him what I needed In letter form to Medical Mutual of Ohio. I have no Idea if he heard all of it as I tend to get nervous and "run at the mouth" while trying to tell him what was needed. Well, He's had some other patients of his have wls and hopefully he'll write a good letter. If not....I'll have to re-submit another letter of neccessity at a later time(if I'm turned down). I try to get everything out of my mouth before he leaves and I tend to not make sense. LOL.. I just wants things to go smoothly and fast. I shouldn't expect "fast" since we all have some wait with this journey, but a girl can hope...right? Now that I've decided to do this...I feel excited and can't think about anything else. I love this web site, It's given me hope and confidance that it can work and will work for me! I'll write more later....judy
