My name is Rebekah. I am blessed to say, that I have 4 beautiful children, and a wonderful husband. My story starts as many others you may have read. I was always the "chubby" girl in school growing up, my mother worked a lot, and that lead to very unhealthy eating habits. When I got into highschool, I decided to do something about my weight, so I started slimfast, and did "Sweatin' to the Oldies" 3 times a day. Much to my surprise, the extra weight just melted off, and I was thinner, and healthier.

I stayed active, and was enjoying life, when I met who is now my husband at the age of 18. At that point, I was 200 pounds, and I know you all must be saying "I thought she said she was thinner and healthier", well, I am 5'8", and not bragging, but I rocked that 200 pound body. Okay, so at the age of 18, I became pregnant - and with that pregnancy, had gained around 40 pounds. After our son was born, I began to shed the extra weight. After 2 months, I found out I was pregnant again. and needless to say, after our DD was born, a few months later, was pregnant again. My life, consisted of staying home, and raising our children, 5 years later, we were blessed with our last child, another little girl. Okay, so here I was, 4 children, eating calories, but not moving around enough to burn them, so the weight started packing on, I had went from 200 pounds, to my highest weight of 487 pounds as of January 2015.

I had to do something. In May, I had met a young lady while taking my mom to a doctors appointment. She was telling my mom how she had just had Gastric Bypass surgery 2 months prior, and it was such a life changer. Her and I got into talking, discovered we had the same insurance, and she pretty much set me in the right direction. I had fufilled all my insurance's requirements, and in mid September, I found out I was approved for surgery. I quit smoking, and started my 2 week liquid pre-op diet the next morning.

October 7th, 2015 was the morning that changed my life. I know I'm only 2 weeks post-op, but I feel amazing, and the pounds are just melting off of me. I'm ready to be the "soccer mom" my kids want, I'm ready to play in mounds of leaves in the fall with my children, and I'm ready to be the best wife/mother one can possibly be. I've had the love, and now I'm gaining the energy to be the woman within. I'm so blessed.
