Hi. I am Tara, JUST turned 40 and I am a HOT MESS. Well, I dont know so much about the hot part right now but I am definitely a mess:P Ive been overweight for many years now, It started with my first pregnancy. He is 17 1/2 now. Alot of things thrown into the mix has made it extremely difficult for me to lose weight and to keep it off. I have bounced up and down with my weight for years. I have tried everything from weight watchers to Adipex to most recently Contrave. Within the last 6 months, I have started talking with my PCP about the Gastric Sleeve surgery. Years ago, I went to a seminar and also consult for the lap band but at the time i did not have insurance. I have Anthem now and Not sure if it covers bariatric surgery or not yet. I also have Lynch Syndrome ( A genetic mutation for Colon Cancer among several other cancers) So i have to have frequent scopes etc. I talked to my Gastroenterologist yesterday who is at OSU medical Center, Wexner or whatever they are calling it now. He gave me the okay... SO here I am searching online.. Ive been watching youtube videos for several months as well.. Im feeling pretty positive about it.. Im just not sure where I want to go for the surgery. I live in rural southern ohio so I am gonna have a drive anywhere that I decide to go.. Any suggestions?
