Hi all. I am almost 4 weeks post-op and down 35 pounds. There are good days and not so good days. I struggled through the first few weeks with eating, but it's getting better by the day. I still don't have a whole lot of energy but I thank God I'm getting around better than I did the first week or two after surgery. Thanks to all of you for your support.

Rochelle, congratulations on making a safe journey to the losing side. Get plenty of rest now and take good care of yourself and your new pouch! Don't forget to take time to celebrate your every victory. I look forward to watching your progress!

Surgery went well, I saw her Thur evening. she was sleeping and her pain was managed well. I welcomed her to the other side and got a smile... She will do great and I'll up-date soon with how well shes walking around and doing great.

THANKS TO ALL WHO RECENTLY SENT WORDS OF INCOURAGEMENT! IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME!!! Today I was in pre-op all day. Don't want to do that again ever :) I am really looking forward to getting this over with. What was really aggravating is that my surgery date changed yet again for the 6th or 7th time (I lost count.) Noone seems to know what is going on in the doctors office! Call it organized confusion. Anyway, if I don't get a call again changing the date AGAIN, my surgery will finally take place on Thursday Aug 29th at 7:00am. We will see. By the way, I just want to tell you all about such a wonderful person who has encouraged me so so much. My angel and friend Mandy L. Thanks Mandy...I won't go into details, but you know I think you're the best!!!

Rochelle, I just wanted to send my warmest wishes to you regarding your upcoming surgery! I want you to know that I have you and your surgeon and family in my prayers BIG TIME! I am very happy for you and I cant wait till you are living life fully, feeling satisfied and joyful all of the time! I wish you the very, very BEST! My surgery is coming up on Sept. 26th, I would love it if you could add me to your prayers too! God Bless...

Rochelle, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am coming up right behind you (WLS 8-30) so we are in this together. Here's to a happier, healthier September for both of us. (My son used to live in Gainesville FL also, but has moved to Greensboro, NC).

Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.
