Hey everyone, It's been a while since I've posted on my on profile but I wanted to updtae. I am 6 mths post op and i have lost 85lbs. I am now 180lbs and fitting into 13-14 and sometimes amazing 11's. I have such a great outlook on my self and i feel damn sexy. I have 30 more lbs to my goal. This has been the greatest adventure i have ever experience and if you ask me would i do it again I will. I have learned so much about myself and why i was obese. I can teach my kids how to eat and excersise and how important it really is. don't get me wrong there are times that i am so tired and i just want to sleep but i can get right back up and do what i need to do. It is scary when i go out and realize how i use to eat. I would go to a buffet and could eat 2 plates . I go now and just the smell alone makes me nausea. ( which i guess is a good thing). There are times that i don't eat but i know i have too. i do get my protein in and vitamins. I am excited about my new body even though i will never have a flat stomach i can learn to live around that. I can wear shorts and be proud of how i look. I wear capri pants and love how my ass looks in them ( sorry a little blunt)but i am loving it. For my 28th bday i plan to have such a blow out that i am going to buy a 9- 10 dress tight, short and just diwn right sexy. I will take a picture and send it to this website so you could see. Well I have to go but i will try to post more often. God Bless all that have made to the other site andn be strong to those still waiting. Much love....your fellow traveler...Pearl:)

I thought I'd go ahead and update for Kimmie...about Pearl. Her first night home was a rough one but like all of us, she made it through. As she progresses day by day things tend to get easier. Pain in the incision area has decreased dramatically since the first night. But, as much as she was in pain, I think the hardest thing was being home with her husband and kids and not really being able to participate or help. GUILT!!! At one week post op she lost 11 lbs and she seems to be tolerating all the food she's tried. She's a great person and she'll succeed!

***Angel Update*** I went to see Pearl tonight and she looks soo much better. The NG tube is OUT and there are no leaks!!!! YIPPEEEE. She really appreciated that Kristin came to see her today. It really helps to have people from the meetings to see her. Her wound looks great. She now has different drinks and some sugar free juice as well as all of our favorites,, POPCICLES!!! Keep praying for a speedy and painless recovery ... Love ya all!!

I'm not Pearl's angel, but I did go and visit her today. I was there for about 2 hours and left as her eyes started to get heavy. She is in wonderful spirits and is such a wonderful person. Her husband and in-laws are super people! She realizes how fortunate she is. She finds it a great comfort to have such a great friend/Angel, Kimberly Silva. You can tell she really appreciates her. This morning she had the knowledge to stay away from the gatorade that the nusing staff gave her; good thing too, because I showed up with different drinks that she could have. She's doing so great at getting her fluids in, you could tell she was sooo thirsty. The last I heard was that she was going to nap and was anxiously anticipating the arrival of her angel Kim. Take it from there Kimmie!

~~Angel Update~~ Pearl had her surgery today, and everything went great. She is now on the 7th floor if anyone wants to visit her. She came out of surgery very groggy and sore (we all know what that is like!!!). I will let everyone know how she is doing tomorrow. Hugs for everyone!!!
