Marsha, you are amazing. With all you are being put through, you have a joy about you that cuts right through the gloom. With your spirit and the Love of God, nothing will stop you now. I wsh you peace and happiness, and I will be praying. Not only for you, but also that God will touch your DH. I think he will have a hard time later accepting himself and comming to terms for what he is putting you through. Best wishes, and God Bless.

Marsha, best wishes for an uneventful journey to the other side. Remember that this surgery is for you and about you! You've got to take care of yourself first!

Marsha, your surgery is just around the corner. I am glad that you were able to make your own choices to do something for yourself, like this WLS. I have been following your post but refrained from documenting anything about your husband's concerns, because I like to think of myself as taking in the own picture. I am sure he has his reasons. My prayer for you is that you have a safe surgery, and my prayer for you husband is that he will come to terms with your decision and just be there. My best for you/Irene

Marsha- Where are you? No comments in the past few days. Are things okay with you? I hope your husband is coming around and that he can understand that this is essential to your health. If God didn't want us to help ourselves, would he give such a gift as bariatric surgery? May God hold you in the palm of his hand and potect you.

Hi Marsha,Sorry about the delay in responding. My name is Janet and I am a Christian and I am also a pre-op (scheduled for surgery next Friday July 13th) I too am also like your husband and I needed confirmation that this surgery was "ok" in God's eyes and I was lead to this scripture in Matt 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out,and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. I think at this point we just need to pray to find out if this is God's plan for you. I will be praying for you and your family whatever decision you make. Your Sister in Christ, Janet
