Jay B. Prystowsky

"I had my initial consultation with Dr. Prystowsky today. I think he is a wonderful doctor. No ego on him at all. He was informative and kind. He also recognized me from the one support group meeting I attended. His staff and everyone at Northwestern has been kind. I am sure that I have made the right decision for myself! Doctor Jay answered all my questions and told me they were great questions. That made me feel good. Dr. Jay emphasized how important follow up is to this surgery. I rate him as excellent, and if you live in Chicago and are thinking about having this surgery please meet Dr. Jay so you can form your own opinion. I am not a surgeon but from what I understand Dr. Jay has a great track record. The hospital is one of the finest in the country. He addressed all of my questions about the risks of surgery and the risks associated with morbid obesity. I can only speak for myself but I thought Dr. Jay was wonderful. I will have surgery mid to late September. I am not a medical professional and these are only my opinions. "

Northwestern Memorial Hospital

"The hospital was great. My first night I had a wonderful view of Navy Pier in Chicago! Too bad I could not enjoy it, my family did though. The next day I was moved to a room right outside the nurses station. That was rough cause they were loud. I also had to depend on the staff for personal care and they were all wonderful. Even got the staff cookies before I left!"
