Syntrax Nectar Whey Protein Isolate, Caribbean Cooler

"I thought this stuff tasted AWFUL. I'd heard everyone say, OH IT TASTES LIKE A PINA COLADA... UGH... this doesn't taste like any daggone PINA COLADA I've ever tasted. I TRULY thought this was disgusting!!!"

Dana Lindsay

"My first impression of Dr Dana Lindsay was that she seemed so in love with life and with what she's doing! She was open, friendly, willing to discuss "the good, the bad & the ugly" so to speak about having surgery! She was very nice to my husband as well and answered as many questions for him as she did for me! Her office staff have all seemed very friendly and eager to help as well! I've felt very positive in my workings with her staff, in getting my surgery information together and in getting my approval! I did have a LONG wait in her office! But I guess that might be the norm! I think future patients should know that she is passionate about her practice, her patients and furthering good health for them! She was very open in discussing how things would go after surgery, and from what I've heard, she is even present for the leak test after surgery. I wouldn't think this would be the norm, but she's very caring that way! She addressed the risks of surgery in a very clear, concise manner, never underplaying or overplaying them, simply stating the possible outcomes! I felt very at ease, even hearing this type of info from her! Although I'd recommend her as a surgeon, my one true complaint was that I wished I'd known back before my original surgery date of 10/23 (cancelled due to a high Hemoglobin A1C) that I need to be careful of this! I will continue to have her as my bariatric surgeon, but I'm going to definitely express my opinion to her that her diabetic patients need this information ahead of time! The longer I'm with Dr Lindsay as a patient, the more satisfied I am that I made the right choice. Her guidelines for aftercare are not so rigid that no one could follow them, yet they are structured. She seems to fully understand that our bodies are taking time to get used to the new way of eating and she does not require long periods of liquid diets and doesn't "sweat the small stuff" of post-op eating. Dr Lindsay is quite proficient at both her surgical skill and bedside manner. She is all business, yet always has time for a funny anecdote about post-op life, going so far as to "cheer" for me when I recently told her about getting back into a smaller size blue jeans. I couldn't have chosen a better surgeon to help me make my way in this journey!!"

Syntrax Nectar Whey Protein Isolate, Apple Ecstasy

"I got my free sample sent to me by Syntrax just recently. I LOVED this apple flavor and have already made plans to order the large tub in this flavor and maybe some of the others. It mixed up very well with just eight ounces of water, despite being ALOT of powder. I thought, no WAY I'm gonna like this, then I stirred it up, poured it over ice and WOW!! It was so much better than the typical chocolate, vanilla or strawberry "shake" type drinks that one HAS to add extra's to in order to tolerate it or make it palatable!! This gets a DEFINITE thumbs up from me. I would not, however, recommend ordering this product straight from Syntrax as it's somewhat expensive. I did a search engine for "Nectar Protein" and found some sites selling this for as little as $22.50 plus $5.95 S/H so DO YOUR HOMEWORK and enjoy Nectar for even cheaper!! "

Johnson Memorial Hospital

"So far I've only had my pre-ops and nutrition consult there. My only issue with this hospital was with the pre-admission testing department. As it turned out, I had too high a Hemoglobin A1C (I'm diabetic) and could not have surgery. The PAT dept was supposed to call me to notify me of this and they did not. I ended up "finding out through the grapevine" that my surgery had been cancelled and it was a devastating way to learn this news! During my surgical stay, I noticed many things that should've been done differently. For example, for my entire four day stay, no one from Housekeeping ever cleaned my room. At times it would take 20 minutes for my call light to be answered, and as I'd had my PCA pump taken out prematurely, the pain meds were really important. Once it took a nurse an hour and a half to bring me a portable O2 tank so that my husband could walk me in the halls. All in all, I'd stay there again but I would be more vocal when I saw these things I've mentioned occurring!"

Brian Nichelson

"I was a bit worried about the psych eval part of the bariatric surgery but Dr Nichelson put me FULLY at ease!"

Teresa Lovins

"The best thing I've ever done medically for myself was choosing Dr Teresa Lovins as my primary care physician. She is caring and compassionate, a GREAT listener and someone to whom I could tell anything and know she'd give me a completely honest & straight-forward answer. A true rarity in my opinion!!"
