I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

Hi Anne, Congrats on your new surgery! I'm sure you have lots to share having gone through this before. May I ask what type of revision did they do? Did you have RNY before or another version of gastric bypass. Many blessings Anne!

Well, 4 months out and down 42# not bad and not great but a heck of a lot more then I could have done on my own. As far as doing it again, a BIG YES. And that is not C**P because for me I did do it again. Most of you know I am a revision, I had a gastric bypass in 89 and did great but had some problems and had a regain. I was lucky that my problem could be fixed. Is life after surgery a bed of roses, heck no. Anything worth having in life is worth working for and it is the same with surgery. I would tell all pre ops that you won't feel like yourself for about 6-8 weeks and eating can be a pain in the bum but it does and will get better and I know this not from this board but because I have lived it before. As far as support, I wish my surgery page was as full as some of those that are complaining about a lack of support. I think this board is WONDERFUL. I can come and vent . I help those that I can and I ignore those that bum me out. Life is not perfect and none of us are and the sooner you learn that in life the better your life will be. After all there are millions of other sites people can post too if they don't like it here. Good luck to everyone on their journey.

hi anna, i'm justing getting started in the journey to wls...my concern is when you said food had a control over you...I'm such an emotional eater & eat when I'm not even hungry & I worry about what I'll be like after surgery...congrats though on your 4 month weight loss that is great!!! Allison

I go for a 4 month check up on Monday. According to my scale I am down 47 pounds........ WOW. I know I feel better & I am starting to look thinner... but what I really feel the best about is that food no longer controls me.... yes, I felt like I lost my best friend but it is amazing I can see what a strong hold my food addiction had on me.. good luck to everyone on their WLS journey.
